"Working Together to Deliver Services: Opportunities and Challenges for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Governments"
Part 1: Background and Roadmap
Ir. Fadli Arif, DESS
(Director for Strategy and Policy Development, National Public Procurement Agency)
(Executive Director, AKATIGA)
The release of Presidential Regulation No. 16 2018 on public procurement has the potential to improve the reach and quality of services delivered to the poorest and most marginalised people. It will also provide access to much-needed funding for grassroots NGOs and faith-based organisations. These organisations are often uniquely placed to meet the needs of people who are socially and economically excluded and provide services that complement what government provides.
This two-part series of events will explore the opportunities and challenges for civil society organisations and governments in the new regulations. The first event in September will examine the background to the regulations and plans for its implementation. This will be followed in October by a discussion of good practices in government-CSO collaboration.
