As announced here IDForum2017 and partnering with government, the private sector and media powerhouses, KSI and Bappenas will turn KSI’s annual conference into the Indonesia Development Forum. This will be an annual ‘knowledge-to-policy’ platform for exchange of knowledge, ideas and innovation to create a more inclusive, equitable, advanced and sustainable Indonesia. This year’s theme is ‘Fighting Inequality for Better Growth’ and will adopt three approaches: Inspire, Imagine and Innovate. The Indonesian Development Forum will showcase what works, recent policy-relevant research, the importance of transparency and the role that evidence plays in the policy cycle. The aim will be to translate the importance of better evidence into terms that resonate more widely. From April to June, ARK-Indonesia partners and Bappenas organised a number of events to support the Indonesian Development Forum:
- 2-May and 24-May PUSAD: Addressing inequality: social inclusion of religious-based groups
- 18 April, 25 April, and 4-May KPPOD: Local economic governance and inequality
