This set of briefs summaries how policy units in four very different countries are embedded in government to evaluate policies and processes, drive social accountability, enhance performance management, and inform decision making with evidence:

In Malaysia, the world’s largest delivery unit, PEMANDU has been implementing the National Transformation Programme- a set of high level governmental priorities to transform the economy and society.

The briefs look at how the units were first established and how they have evolved - including leadership, funding, staffing and recruitment, knowledge sharing and communications. They also highlight how each country is trying to build a demand for evidence.
