The COVID-19 vaccination program in Indonesia targets 181 million people vaccinated by the end of 2021 is expected to be a turning point for the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. As one of the vital policies today, the complexities behind formulating this policy need to be fully understood. Mapping the policy basis and ensuring that it is scientifically accountable is key to providing this policy's effective implementation. This discussion will discuss the challenges and realities of formulating the evidence-based policy making of COVID-19 vaccination policy in Indonesia. More over, KSIxChange #32 is expected to facilitate the knowledge exchange between the government, research institutions, and other individuals to support the evidence-based policy making process.
