What is the projection of 100 years of Indonesian independence? Will Indonesian Science Agenda become a long-term guidance towards the realization of ideals of the founding of the nation?
This fundamental scientific question is the realization of a joint dream for a better Indonesia and academic anxiety felt by young scientists when doing research in their respective fields.
This current knowledge sharing session will discuss Indonesian Science Agenda prepared by young scientists from various scientific disciplines, facilitated by the Indonesian Academy of Sciences (AIPI). A dynamic document, Indonesian Science Agenda is dedicated to inspire young Indonesian researchers to improve character of the nation with critical thinking and insatiable curiosity, where science plays a role as a driver of innovation and progress of development.

There are 8 clusters of problems and 45 questions which were initiated by young Indonesian scientists and written by a Study Committee consisting of 12 young scientists as well as 5 members of AIPI Advisory Committee. Mapping problems and gathering questions have been implemented through the Indonesian Young Scientists Forum attended by 40 Indonesian young scientists from Indonesian Young Scientist Network.
Representatives of young scientists of the National Research Council, Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa and Teguh Dartanto, Ph.D. will present the Indonesian Science Agenda which will be formally published in May 2015. It is expected that this agenda will strengthen formal networks between young researchers in Indonesia. This document will complement five-yearly national research agenda of the Ministry of Research and Technology.
