Satu Data Indonesia (One Data Initiative) is a joint initiative led by KSP (the Executive Office of the President) and Bappenas to develop and strengthen data system, sharing, and governance for achieving optimum development targets. An important component of effective data governance under the One Data Initiative is to have clear and sound regulatory framework. Thus, the Presidential Regulation is drafted to address such need on regulation. On 17-18 April, KSP and Bappenas organized a knowledge sharing session on the SatuData Indonesia’s draft Presidential Regulation.
The Presidential Regulation was initially drafted by KSP and Bappenas and later involved the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) and the Ministry of Information and Communication. A series of discussion and consultations were held with this small technical team of Ministries and Government agencies. The draft was also examined with the seven pilot ministries under the One Data Initiative.
This socialization event was an effort to introduce, discuss and obtain input from all ministries and government agencies and regional government about the draft Presidential Regulation. In the two-day workshop, government representatives and participants, including 87 ministries/agencies and 11 regional government, provided input and comments to the draft, which will be used to formulate the next draft version. The latest version will be presented to the President at a limited cabinet meeting and finalized under the President’s directive.
