SurveyMETER's 3 Episode Studies

SurveyMETER was established in 2002 and has gained a strong reputation in Indonesia for the quality of its policy research, particularly with quantitative methods and analysis as well as training and capacity development on research methods. SurveyMETER is one of the 16 Indonesian policy research organisations with which the Knowledge Sector Initiative (KSI; https://www.ksi-indonesia.org/) collaborates to strengthen the demand and use of research-based evidence by Indonesian policy makers.

In mid-2015, KSI and SurveyMETER together decided to develop 3 Episode Studies, based on SurveyMeter's studies in Jakarta, Denpasar and Balikpapan on Age-Friendly Cities. The studies themselves were completed in 2013, but with KSI's support, SurveyMETER decided to develop Episode Studies from them.

The three episode studies of policy change written by SurveyMETER are:

  • Building Partnerships for Designing Policy: Episode Study of Jakarta Declaration on Dementia- and Age-Friendly City (URL)
  • Data that Inspires Policy: Episode Study of City of Balikpapan’s Experience Towards Age-Friendly City 2030  (URL)
  • Information Strengthens Policy: Episode Study of the Commitment of Denpasar City in Integrating Policies of Child-Friendly City, Age-Friendly City, and Green Open Spaces of Healthy City (URL)
