Policy Talk

A quality knowledge and innovation ecosystem is required to improve the use of evidence in policy making. However, there are some barriers to tackle, relating to the funding for research and efficiency in spending; research environment; demand for research; quality of research and analysis; data availability and access; and the relationship between researchers and policy makers.

The Covid-19 pandemic can serve as a catalyst to build the knowledge and innovation ecosystem that is necessary to improve the quality of policymaking. This Policy Discussion will discuss in greater depth the knowledge and innovation ecosystem in Indonesia and how it contributes to addressing the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
