National Research Agenda 2010-2014: Evaluation and Recommendation

Indonesia has already had a National Research Agenda (ARN) document since 2006 but many questions remain. What is the content of ARN? Who compiled ARN document? How ARN document is prepared and for whom? Behind these questions lie fundamental question. Does Indonesia need ARN? 

This upcoming knowledge sharing session will discuss 2010-2014 National Research Agenda (ARN), a document of national scale prepared as the direction of the development of research in Indonesia. Furthermore, this session will discuss the results of evaluation on the implementation of the ARN until now, both in terms of content and context. The evaluation will be done within the framework of policy analysis, namely from the stage of formulation, implementation, performance, and policy environment. 

Evaluation of ARN 2010-2014 will be presented by CIPG researcher, Mona L. Usmani. Dr. Iding Chaidir, representing the National Research Council, will give feedback on the results of ARN evaluation. He also will deliver information on the efforts being or will be done related to evaluation recommendations, including latest information on the preparation of the next ARN. Irsan Pawennei, M.Sc. from CIPG will be a moderator to facilitate the discussion.

Bio Speaker
Mona Luthfina Usmani is a research associate at the Centre for Innovation Policy and Governance (CIPG) where she conducted in several studies related to policy governance, research and technology, as well as innovation. In 2013, Mona also involved in the evaluation of the implementation of the National Research Agenda 2010-2014 organized by the Ministry of Research and Technology and the National Research Council.

Dr. Ir. Iding Chaidir, M.Sc. is the Secretary of the National Research Council for the period of 2012-2014. Since 2008 he was involved in the National Research Council as a Technical Assistant Food Security Commission and later served as member of National Research Council starting January 2012.
