This 2-day seminar in Jakarta is a collaborative effort between KSI and LIPI which aims to present learnings and/or new-knowledge generated through the local knowledge grant initiative on the situation and roles of local knowledge in knowledge to policy process: the actors involved, mechanisms to influence policy, relationship/network used to influence policy, the ways they communicate their evidence, and other factors contributing to the effectiveness/difficulties in local knowledge to policy.

Local Knowledge Conference: “Local Knowledge to Policy: Whose Evidence Matters”

This 2-day seminar in Jakarta is a collaborative effort between KSI and LIPI which aims to present learnings and/or new-knowledge generated through the local knowledge grant initiative on the situation and roles of local knowledge in knowledge to policy process: the actors involved, mechanisms to influence policy, relationship/network used to influence policy, the ways they communicate their evidence, and other factors contributing to the effectiveness/difficulties in local knowledge to policy.

The event showcased learnings from 10 local knowledge grantees and their local knowledge research results, conduct discussions that gather input and recommendations from stakeholders and knowledge communities (local and national), and convene with plans on moving forward to support other local knowledge initiatives.
