The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas with the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of State Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, supported by the KSI held the grand launch for integrated application system for planning, budgeting, and performance information on 21 April 2017. This event marked almost a year long effort by Bappenas to build an integrated e-Planning System for more effective and efficient national development planning. Integrated and connected planning and budgeting is key to having more sound, coherent, and effective national development programs.

The E-Planning system initiative, launched in Bappenas on June 2016, aimed to bring together and integrate various existing stand-alone system applications of national development planning in Bappenas. By integrating these application, Bappenas can have a seamless and efficient e-planning system for formulating an annual government work plan.

The initiative, led by Bappenas’ Centre for Development Data and Information (Pusat Data dan Informasi, Pusdatin) has involved a number of key Bappenas directorates. As it progresses, the e-Planning system initiative has evolved beyond Bappenas and engaged the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of State Administrative Reform to integrate key connecting points in the development planning process for synchronizing planning and budgeting. With this system in place, ministries and government agencies will be more effective and efficient in planning, budgeting, performance reporting and control in achieving development targets.

This integrated e-planning and budgeting system, now called KRISNA (Kolaborasi Integrasi System Perencanaan, Penganggaran dan Informasi Kinerja or “Collaboration in Planning, Budgeting, and Performance Information”), has been disseminated to all ministries/government agencies to use for the 2018 Government Work Plan (RKP). At the grand launch, representatives from 87 ministries and government agencies tried and learned more about the new integrated planning and budgeting system.
